Rainpaw’s eyes fluttered open. The young she cat tried to stand up and fell down again as her legs collapsed under her. As her eyes began to focus she saw she was in a dimly lit dirt tunnel smelling of herbs. She looked around to find that she was in a small hollow carved out of the side of the long tunnel. Looking down into the darkness Rainpaw saw the figure of Leafdream, the clan’s medicine cat.
